Hello. I saw your daughters post about the Sliders timer on Facebook and I’m very interested in this project and another concerning the electronics for another prop I own. Can we talk sometime? I would appreciate it. Thank you! :0)

      Hi Jeff,

I’m so sorry we’ve taken so long to respond. If you are still interested, please let me know!

  4. Joe says:

Love the Timer will you be selling blank boars or already assembled?

    • Lightbender says:

      Hi Joe,

Sorry for the late response. They are assembled and tested. We COULD sell blank boards, but you would need to be proficient at very fine-pitch surface mount soldering. Not for the faint-of-heart.

  5. Joe says:

Also would like to know if you will be what will they cost?

  6. Dave says:

Beautiful timer video will you be selling these complete or in kits I bought one from a guy in the UK but it’s only a static timer doesn’ do anything but light up.

  7. Luke says:

Not sure, but how much does a programmable chip cost?

  8. Peter says:

Looking forward to buying one soon.

  9. Dan says:

Will kit include everything you need? (all in one) or do you got to buy the body and stuff separate? What is your time frame on this coming out? Im getting anxious!! lol!

  10. Matt says:

Any updates on this??? I just happen to have picked up the proper RCA remote for this a number of years ago with the hopes that a board would become available. How much longer must I wait! 🙂

  11. chris says:

Just curious as to how much is it that the boards will cost. I am really looking forward to these coming out

  12. MythosMan88 says:

Are these available for sale yet and if so how might I go about purchasing one?

  13. Red Ranger says:

when are these going to be available?, how can these be modified to fit into an original timer housing? hmm

    • Lightbender says:

The Egyptian timer boards are available now (figure a week if I have to order parts). Hopefully soon I can do the original cellphone timer. I would like to do boards for both the Thermal kit and the cellphone, depending upon interest.

      • Chris says:

I’ll sign up as an interested party on that one.

On another note, is there any chance you can post a video of the various timer functions (counting down, powering up, hitting zero, etc)?

      • Red Ranger says:

the interest is definitely there, people just need to be made aware of this amazingness!.. id be very interested the original cellphone timer- the video on here does everything the original did and is very exciting!

with sliders seasons 1,2,3 being rereleased on dvd and re-runs being rebroadcast on a channel called “The Hub”, theyll be no doubt interest!.. ive been intrigued over this since it first aired in ’95 when I was like 9, keep up the good work!

  14. Chris says:

These boards look excellent. Are you selling just the electronics or the enter timer? I notice from the photos the circuit boards are mounted in the base. Just curious what comes with the purchase? Thanks a lot for the information.

  15. Lrbearclaw says:

How does the full thing look? What functions is there (besides “light up”?

  16. PatrickD says:

Any video of this working? I’m not ready to shell out $306 unless I can see it work. An ETA on delivery would be nice too. (Days? Weeks? Months? A year, like my last order from QMx?)

  17. Brian says:

So everything minus keypad are included with the purchase? all the LED’s and the wiring that they are shown in the video are included?

  18. BlckBane says:

I was wondering how do I get one of these timers how much are they I was also wondering about the scarab doe that come on it and can you also purchase one of them and about the genser sequence can you get one without that feature…. do you also make the original timer the rickman timer and the logan timer and if you do how much would those cost?

    • Lightbender says:

      Hi BlkBane,

The timer board set costs $300 plus $6 U. S. shipping. There is a link at the top of this page with which you can order it. The scarab is not included but can be ordered here:
The genser sequence can be removed.
This is the only timer we currently make.
It does not come with a schematic nor parts list.

      • BlckBane says:

thank you so much for your quick response and $300 is a very reasonable price.. now do you see yourself in the future building the other timers? I would love to get each and everyone I am a huge sliders fan and a collection like that would be awesome.
I wanted to build them myself but no one will share that information I don’t know if they thought I was looking to build them to make a profit or what they were thinking I just wanted to build them for myself I once sent someone all the parts that they said they needed to build the original timer but after I never heard back from them I realize I was stupid for doing so and after I tried to find someone who would help me out with what I would need and stuff but no one would share with me which really sucked cause it would be nice to build something and say you did it and I’m sure you know what I’m saying with that you did a beautiful job on that timer.

        • Lightbender says:

          Thank you for your complements.

We don’t plan to offer others. They are very expensive to develop and the cost has to be passed on. The market is just too small to justify the resultant price.

I appreciate that you (and others) would like to build these yourself. But you would need to be very proficient at surface mount soldering. It’s not for the inexperienced.
Sure, we could offer a kit of the parts, but you’d be on your own. We could not support your efforts.

      • Mr Fingers says:

It’s unfortunate you decided against the cellphone timer, it seems so much of the work that went into this one could of been passed to the other (aside from changing the barograph animation). Is the scarab gone? I haven’t been able to find it.

And so reiterate this post I read, did you say you CAN remove the Genser sequence? How else would the display change?

Thanks, and Keep up the good work

  19. BlckBane says:

I also was wondering does the timer come with the schematics and a list of parts so if something breaks ypu can fix it just wondering
